Gate Eel Farm is set in the pleasant and peaceful village of Dacre Banks, just 10 miles west of Harrogate in the Nidderdale Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Dacre Banks is the perfect base for exploring the many sights and attractions of the region.

Most of the fine walks in the area, including the 53-mile Nidderdale way, can be accessed directly from the farmhouse

The setting also provides easy acess to the bustling centres of Harrogate, Ripon, Ilkley, York and Otley. The Dales National Park and the North Yorkshire moors are within easy reach.

Harrogate is a Victorian spa town and frequent winner of England's 'Britain in Bloom' floral town competition. It has excellent shops and a wealth of good restaurants. There are public golf courses, parks and gardens, including the Valley Gardens and RHS Garden Harlow Carr.
